Dr. Leslie K Maniotes is the professional developer for Guided Inquiry Design®.

 

Since 2007, we have conducted workshops for educational leaders, teachers, coaches, librarians, tech integrators, curriculum coordinators and teaching teams. Drawing upon our extensive experience working in K-12 education, we have created high quality professional learning for each workshop. Each GId workshop includes best practice in adult learning and teacher effectiveness strategies in use. These strategies have proven to help participants to become facilitators of learning and feel confident in their ability to apply the concepts learned to their own classroom or school.

The Guided Inquiry Design® Institute

Changing teachers into instructional designers for Inquiry Based Learning. A proven three-day institute first implemented at Rutgers University at the CiSSL Summer session. Past institutes have had dramatic results such as award winning units and complete district shifts to inquiry learning. Participants attend in school-based teams including teachers with their librarian. The Guided Inquiry Design® institute encourages deep learning about the inquiry process, using facilitated team work time for designing a prototype unit of Guided Inquiry ready for use.
